“Be Aware Plant”
By: Lorenzo Emanuele Carocci
Ambrit Rome International School
A living plant
A real life
Fragile and delicate
Easily damaged
Be careful
When darkness hits your heart
No more food
No more water
No more color
I am sorry
But I told you to be aware
Dry plant
I am sorry to say
Goodbye.
"Dog"
By: Lorenzo
Ambrit Rome International School
In a little corner,
my dog suddenly,
bang bang bangs,
his head,
ferociously,
on the white wall,
wildly walking and running asleep,
and then he starts again,
sleeping peacefully.
"Mt. Vesuvius:
The Crater"
By: Lorenzo
Ambrit Rome International School
I'm going out to
Mt. Vesuvius
having fun walking
on the crater
(I'm scared while the
height is getting greater)
I shan't be gone long -- you come too.
I'm going out to
have a walk up to Mt. Vesuvius
panting panting all the
way infinitely tired
(but I continued walking
fast and I was admired)
But I shan't be gone long -- you come too.

"School Music"

Ambrit Rome International School
This School:
The
annoying
noise
from the
atrium
echoing
talking
while walking and shouting
bang
slam the doors
shouting
out, rigore
all the time
the music class
singing alto
hurting my ears
filling my eyes
with tears
paper ripping
never silently shuffling
the always
school music.

"This is just to say..."
By: Lorenzo
Inspired by William Carlos Williams
I have eaten
the rice
that was in
the pan
and which
you were probably
saving for
dinner
forgive me
it was
so creamy
so slurpy
and so soft
Poem Responses
My favorite poems are the Haiku and the This is just to say... poems because I think they were the best poems made in 5th grade made by me, I like them also because I thought they were well made and I think they were really the meaning of what Mr. Guarnieri discribed how they should look like. The two poems make me feel very happy but the part where I was really, really happy was the part where I wrote them.
These to poems remind me of when I recieve surprises like a Play Station 2 or the bike and I felt happy then when I wrote the poems I felt happy as well.
The haiku made me learn things about
nature and it made me learn to observe and hear more
the sound around me. The This is just to say...
poem was really funny and cool and I am
actually disappointed that I can't share
it with my family and the audience.

Good work on your second poem. Please take out the stanza lines and try to form into two stanzas with 4 lines each. Also your second line in the second stanza needs work-"a lot tired" is odd.
