Discussion Questions CH 15-21

2. Do you think it is right that scientists experiment on animals?I don't think it is right to experiment on animals because we shouldn't kill animals that are harmless and don't have any disease. Also if you experiment on rats you will need to make more of the cure and you would need to find the rat with the particular disease. Finding a rat with a particular disease is pretty challenging because rats don't talk and you wouldn't know their symptoms. 

3. How would you feel if you were a rat at NIMH? I wold feel very annoyed because all of the injections taking them is a pain. You also have the risk of dying and that wouldn't be nice for me or for anybody. I would feel like running away and never coming back like the rats did.  

4. Do you think the doctors care about the health and safety of the rats? No I don't think so why couldn't they experiment it on a person or even themselves. But no they can't they have to do it on rats and also why rats. I don't think they care oh no sorry they don't care.

5. Do you think animals should be kept in zoos? Yes because why treat them badly when when you can be helping them. At the zoo they also give them better food and a better shelter.There they get their normal habitat not a lab.

6. How did becoming smarter change the rats? It changed them a lot because they found motors and stuff and they knew what to do with them. Also tools and they knew to do with them. So they made the Rosebush and that had everything in it.

7. What was Dr.Shultz a scientist or a neurologist? Dr. Shultz was both a neurologist and a scientist. A neurologist is a person who studies the brain and the neurons. A scientist is a person who does tests and experiments.
